COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Stanford junior Akash Modi was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Year for the third consecutive season, as announced Monday by the conference. Modi also leads the NCAA in career College Gymnastics Association Gymnast of the Week honors with 14, including his four this year. He also collected two MPSF with four Gymnast of the Week. He finished the regular season ranked first in the nation in the all-around (89.788) and floor (15.638).
Stanford and Modi will have a week off before traveling to Columbus, Ohio, for the NCAA Championships where it will pursue its sixth national title.
