Inside the Huddle
• Stanford returns to the field Saturday for its annual Cardinal and White Spring Game. The controlled scrimmage marks the end of spring practice, and the last time the Cardinal will be in action until it re-assembles for training camp in August.
• With its win over Iowa in last season’s Rose Bowl Game, Stanford finished the campaign with a 12-2 record while claiming its third Pac-12 Conference title in the past four seasons.
• The Cardinal returns 71 student-athletes from its 2015 roster.
• Stanford is the only school ever ranked in the top-4 by U.S. News and World Report (4th) and the Associated Press (3rd) in the same year
• The Cardinal has made a school-record seven straight bowl appearances, the Pac-12 Conference's second-longest active streak.
• Since 2010, Stanford is 47-6 in games played in California.
• Stanford has won at least 10 games four times in five seasons under head coach David Shaw. From 1891-2010, the program recorded four 10-win seasons.
• Stanford received an NCAA GSR of 99 percent in 2015, a total that leads all FBS and FCS institutions.
• No program in the nation has a higher graduation rate over the past five years than Stanford (99 percent).
• No Pac-12 Conference team has had more draftees over the past four years than Stanford (19).
• Stanford leads the nation with 13 consecutive games scoring at least 30 points.
• Stanford led the nation in time of possession in 2015 (34:48), the seventh-best clip in the past 20 years
• The Cardinal is the only team with two top-10 single-season time-of-possession rankings over the past 20 years.
• Stanford leads the nation since 2010 in time of possession (33:07).
Cardinalpalooza
• Four varsity sports will be competing Saturday on campus, in what is being called Cardinalpalooza, a free Stanford sports festival, highlighted by the Cardinal and White Spring Football Game in Cagan Stadium.
• Following the game, current football student-athletes will be available for autographs at Sunken Diamond. Free posters will also be distributed.
• Admission and parking are free, and families are encouraged to tailgate, picnic or sample the offerings of food trucks in the Pac-12 Plaza outside Sunken Diamond from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., where a variety of food and beverages will be served.
• Parking will be available on Saturday in Lot 2, Lot 3, Toyon Grove, Sunken Diamond/Varsity Lot and the Track House.
