STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford continued to showcase its status as one of the nation’s elite programs in 2016, earning multiple team and individual accomplishments throughout the season.
The Cardinal competed in its ninth NCAA Championships in the past 10 years and 16th overall, tied for the highest score at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional and picked up four regular-season wins against NCAA Championships teams.
Stanford finished 10th overall at the NCAA Championships, the team’s eighth top-10 finish in the past 10 years. Elizabeth Price earned All-America First Team honors in the all-around, vault, bars and beam. She finished fourth overall in the all-around, fourth on bars, ninth on vault and 12th on beam.
Ivana Hong earned first-team All-America recognition on beam – the fifth All-America honor of her career and third on beam – and placed 12th overall in the country.
Stanford claimed a variety of individual honors throughout the season with Price being named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year and earning NACGC/W Regular Season All-America honors with Hong.
Price, Hong, Chuang and Rice earned All-Pac-12 honors, and Frowein claimed her third consecutive Pac-12 All-Academic First Team honor – becoming the third gymnast in program history to accomplish the feat.
