Stephen Piscotty • RF • St. Louis Cardinals • Second season • Statistics

A 2015 postseason hero for the Cardinals, Piscotty started in right field on Opening Day for St. Louis and batted fifth. A first round pick in 2012, Piscotty was a midseason call up last season and hit .305 in 63 games. At the 2016 All-Star break Piscotty has become the Cardinals starting right fielder, played in all 82 games, and is batting .295 with 11 home runs and 48 RBI's. The Cardinals are in second place in the National League Central. 

Jed Lowrie • 3B • Oakland Athletics • Ninth season • Statistics 

Lowrie also started on Opening Day and accounted for all three Oakland runs with a two-RBI single and run against the White Sox. A first round pick in 2005, Lowrie made his MLB debut in 2008 with the Red Sox. He spent four seasons in Boston, two in Houston and is in his third year and second stint with the Athletics. At the 2016 All-Star break Lowrie is the starting second baseman for the Athletics, having played in 72 games and batting .283.

Drew Storen • RHP • Toronto Blue Jays • Seventh season • @DrewStoren • Statistics 

After spending his first six years in the Majors with the Washington Nationals, Storen is entering his first season with the Toronto Blue Jays. The 10th overall selection in the 2009 draft, Storen has a 3.25 career ERA and 98 career saves -- the most by any Stanford pitcher in MLB history. At the 2016 All-Star break, Storen has 36 appearances with the Blue Jays while registering 32 innings pitched, a 1-3 record and 31 strikeouts. 

Jason Castro • C • Houston Astors • Sixth season • @j_castro15 •  Statistics

Castro was the 10th overall selection in the 2008 draft and has spent his entire career with Houston and in the Astros organization. At the 2016 All-Star break, Castro has played in 66 games in which he has 41 hits and a .992 fielding percentage. Castro is the Astros starting catcher, he has played in more than 100 games in each of the last three years, and has 57 career home runs in the big leagues. 

Sam Fuld • OF • Oakland Athletics • Ninth season • @SamFuld5 • Statistics

A 10th round selection in 2010, Fuld started the 2016 season on the disabled list where he has remianed. He requires surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2016 season. Last season, he played 120 games for the Athletics.

A.J. Hinch • Manager • Houston Astros • Second season • @AJHinch

Hinch enters his second season as manager of the Houston Astros. Last season, he led Houston to its first playoff appearance since 2005. This season, Hinch has done a phenomenal job of getting his team on track by the All-Star break after getting off to a difficult start to the season. At the end of April, the Astros were 7-17 but by the All-Star break they are seven games over .500 at 48-41 and in second place in the AL West, trailing the Texas Rangers by 5.5 games. Houston is just 1.0 game behind in the race for the wild card.
