SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference provided home/away designations and date windows for the 2016-17 Stanford men's basketball league schedule on Tuesday. While the home/away designations are set for each week, exact dates and order of opponents within each five-day window will be announced once television selections are completed. Selections are expected to be finalized in early September by the conference's television partners.
The Cardinal will open conference play against Arizona and Arizona State during the five-day window from Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 – Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017. The Cardinal will close its regular-season league slate in the Rocky Mountains, traveling to Colorado and Utah during the first week of March.
As part of the conference's 18-game schedule, each school will face seven league opponents twice and four opponents once throughout the regular season. Stanford will not host UCLA and USC and will not travel to Washington and Washington State during the 2016-17 league slate.

The 2017 Pac-12 Conference Tournament will move to the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The four-day tournament will take place from Wednesday, March 8 – Saturday, March 11.
Once finalized, Stanford's non-conference scheduled will be announced.
The 2016-17 Stanford men's basketball season will begin a new era in Cardinal history as the program ushers in head coach Jerod Haase. Stanford will be one of the more experienced teams in the Pac-12 this coming season, with 10 of its top 11 scorers from last year returning this season. Among those returning to the lineup this winter are four double-digit scorers from last season in Reid Travis (12.8 ppg), Dorian Pickens (12.3 ppg), Marcus Allen (11.1 ppg) and Michael Humphrey (10.3 ppg). The Cardinal also returns its top rebounder from a year ago in Travis (7.1 rpg).
