Nonconference Schedule

STANFORD, Calif. – Highlighted by trips to Kansas, SMU and the Advocare Invitational in Orlando, the Stanford men's basketball 2016-17 nonconference schedule was unveiled on Tuesday.

The Cardinal, which begins the Jerod Haase era this winter, could face six teams who earned a berth in the 2016 NCAA Tournament away from campus, in Kansas, Miami, Gonzaga, Iowa State, Weber State and Seton Hall.

Highlighting the 12-game nonconference slate is a trip to Lawrence, Kansas, to face 2016 NCAA Final Four participant Kansas on Saturday, Dec. 3. The game will serve as a homecoming for Haase, who starred for the Jayhawks from 1994-97.

Stanford's 2016-17 season tips off more than 6,000 miles away from its campus in Shanghai, China, as the Cardinal meets Harvard in the Pac-12 China Game. The game will be contested on Saturday morning in China, with the 15-hour time difference resulting in a Friday (Nov. 11) evening contest back in the United States.
