STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford opposite Kathryn Plummer has been selected the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference announced today.
The rookie averaged a team-best 2.83 kills on .500 hitting, 1.50 blocks and 3.67 points per set in Cardinal sweeps at Saint Mary's and Pacific last week.
Against the Gaels, Plummer led all players with 10 kills on a career-high .556 attack percentage. She also had five blocks and three digs in Stanford's first true road match of the season.
At Pacific, the Aliso Viejo, California native recorded seven kills on .438 hitting and four blocks. She was errorless on the weekend, notching 17 kills on 34 swings.
It is the first weekly honor for Plummer and the 18th freshman of the week accolade for the Cardinal, which is the most all-time in the conference.
