Cardinal Downs LBSU, 8-6

BERKELEY, Calif. – No. 5 Stanford men's water polo wrapped up its four-game competition in the Mountain Pacific Invitational with an 8-6 victory over No. 7 Long Beach State Sunday at Spieker Aquatics Complex.
 
Sophomore Harrison Enright guided the Cardinal with three goals against the 49ers, as Stanford improved to 8-2 on the season.
 
Enright broke a 3-3 tie with a goal in the final minutes of the first half. Stanford never looked back from there.
 
Enright added two more scores, while senior Adam Warmoth and freshman Bennett Williams each scored a second-half goal as the Cardinal completed the four-game tournament with a 3-1 mark.
 
Junior Oliver Lewis played the entire match in goal, making three saves.
 
Stanford will be back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 5, against Santa Clara at 5 p.m. PT in Santa Clara.
