TEMPE, Ariz. – Behind a balanced offensive attack, the No. 12 Stanford women's volleyball team swept Arizona State, 25-21, 25-17, 25-18, Friday, in Wells Fargo Arena.
 
Stanford (18-7, 12-5 Pac-12) hit .391 for the match, while holding Arizona State (9-20, 2-15 Pac-12) to a .168 clip. The Cardinal also dominated the defensive statistics, out blocking the Sun Devils 11.0 to 4.0 and out digging them 43 to 34.
 
Freshman outside hitter Kathryn Plummer led all players with 13 kills on .360 hitting, seven digs and three blocks. Inky Ajanaku, Audriana Fitzmorris and Ivana Vanjak each tallied eight kills for Stanford. Merete Lutz added six kills on .312 hitting.
 
Stanford started out slowly, trailing early in the first set. However, a 9-2 run by the Cardinal put first set out of reach for the Devils. Stanford hit .500 in the second set with 18 kills and just two hitting errors and continued to fire on all cylinders in the third with a .414 attack percentage.
 
Freshman setter Jenna Gray finished with 38 assists, five digs, four blocks and two kills. Freshman libero Morgan Hentz anchored the defense with 10 digs, while defensive specialist Halland McKenna tallied nine.

Arizona State was led by senior Maya McClendon's nine kills on .261 hitting, while Ivana Jeremic totaled nine kills and 10 digs. Setter Kylie Pickrell finished with 25 assists, four digs and two aces.
 
Stanford closes out the road trip at Arizona on Sunday, Nov. 20. First serve between the Cardinal and Wildcats is slated for 11 a.m. PT on Pac-12 Arizona and Pac-12 Bay Area.
