STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford was selected to finish third in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll, as announced Wednesday by the conference.
The Cardinal received 33 points in the poll, following UCLA (47) and Utah (45). Stanford has finished among the top three in the Pac-12 in two of the past three years.
Stanford was ranked 11th in the National Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches of America/Women preseason poll earlier this week.
Eight of the Cardinal's 10 regular season meets will feature at least one top-30 opponent, including three top-10 teams.
Stanford returned to the NCAA Championships for the 13th time in the past 16 years in 2016, with two gymnasts combining for five first-team All-America honors. The Cardinal finished fourth at the NCAA Championships Semifinals last season.
Stanford is one of seven teams in the nation to make at least seven Super Six appearances in the past 15 years (2002-16).
The Cardinal returns All-America gymnasts, Elizabeth Price and Nicolette McNair, along with a group of experienced returners and a talented freshman class.
