STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford held off a late comeback effort by Washington to secure its second dual-meet victory in as many weeks Sunday afternoon in Maples Pavilion.
All six Cardinal (5-5, 2-1 Pac-12) gymnasts hit their floor routines to secure a narrow, 195.925-195.825, victory against the Huskies (2-5, 0-3 Pac-12). Stanford has improved its overall team score in every meet this season.
Stanford took a comfortable, 147.050-146.650, lead into the final rotation but watched it quickly dwindle away as Washington produced four scores of 9.800 or higher, including three 9.875s, among the first five gymnasts. The Cardinal remained focused on hitting their individual routines and the strategy paid off with every gymnast scoring 9.725 or higher to secure the win.
Elizabeth Price continued her dominance, winning vault (9.875) and bars (9.950). She has won the two events in all four meets she has competed in this season.
Price has scored 9.900 or higher in 50-of-80 (62.5 percent) of her performances during her collegiate career and has won nine of the 12 events she has competed in this season.
Nicolette McNair and Danielle McNair notched 9.900s on bars tie for second in the event. It was a career-best for Danielle McNair and a season-best for Nicolette McNair.
Rachel Daum tied her season best of 9.850 on floor to lead the Cardinal and tie for second in the event.
Aleeza Yu competed on vault for the second consecutive week and finished third – her second top-three finish in the event.

Highlights from Stanford's victory against No. 18 Washington.
Stanford got off to a hot start and thrived on vault and bars. The Cardinal went 49.075 on vault – the fourth time in five meets it has broken the 49-point mark – and earned a season-best 49.350 on bars. It is Stanford's highest score on bars since the April 2, 2016, at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional (49.500).
Price paced the Cardinal with a 9.875 and was followed by Yu with a 9.825. Ashley Tai and Danielle McNair both contributed scores of 9.800, while Kaylee Cole earned a 9.775.
Stanford had an outstanding day on bars, capped by a 9.950 by Price. Nicolette McNair and Danielle McNair each scored 9.900, and Yu scored a season-best 9.850.
Taryn Fitzgerald led Stanford off on beam by tying her career high of 9.800. The Cardinal ran into a bit of adversity with its second gymnast falling. Cole followed the missed routine with a season-best 9.825 to get Stanford back on track. Tai produced a 9.825 of her own in the next position.
Stanford took a lead into the final event but knew it would be a challenge. The Cardinal finished on floor – its weakest event so far this season – while the Huskies finished on beam – its strongest event.
Danielle McNair set the tone with a leadoff score of 9.725. Hailee Hoffman followed with a 9.775 and Cole produced a 9.750.
Daum continued the momentum by tying her season best of 9.850 and Tai capped the meet with a season-best 9.775 to secure the win.
The Cardinal will look to continue to improve on its score next week when it travels to UCLA on Saturday at 2 p.m. (PT). The meet will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
