Cook Named Diver of the Month

STANFORD, Calif. - Kassidy Cook won on the 1-meter at all four conference dual meets in January to earn Pac-12 Diver of the Month honors, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.

Cook, who also claimed first on the 3-meter in Tucson, helped lead the top-ranked Cardinal (7-0, 6-0) to dual meet wins at Arizona State, at No. 17 Arizona, vs. No. 19 UCLA and vs. No. 4 USC last month.
Cook redshirted last season to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Since her return to collegiate competition, she is undefeated on the 1-meter in dual meets. Her top score came at Arizona State on Jan. 20 with a 331.13. The following day, she swept the diving events against the Wildcats. Most recently, she won on the 1-meter with a score of 300.08 against the Bruins on Jan. 27 and a 326.33 against the Trojans on Jan. 28.

This is the first career Pac-12 Diver of the Month honor for Cook, and the second conference honoree for the Cardinal this year. Freshman Katie Ledecky was the Swimmer of the Month in November.

Cook and the Cardinal have one more dual meet remaining before the Pac-12 and NCAA Championships. No. 1 Stanford visits No. 2 Cal on Saturday at noon on the Pac-12 Networks.
