Season-Best Showing

• Stanford scored a season-best 196.625 to finish fifth at the Pac-12 Championships.
• Elizabeth Price tied for second on floor (9.925) and tied for fifth on vault (9.900).
• Nicolette McNair tied for fourth on beam with a career-high 9.925.
• Ashley Tai tied for seventh on beam with a career-best 9.900.
• Rachel Daum scored a career-high 39.300 in the all-around to finish ninth overall.

STANFORD, Calif. – Nicolette McNair and Elizabeth Price combined for three first-place finishes to help Stanford score a season-best 196.625 and finish first in the first session of the Pac-12 Championships on Saturday afternoon.
 
McNair tied for the top spot on beam (9.925), while Price picked up wins on vault (9.900) and floor (9.925). The duo paced a big day for the Cardinal which earned convincing victories against California (196.300), Arizona (196.275) and Arizona State (195.600).
 
Overall, the Cardinal had six gymnasts combine for eight top-four finishes and Stanford gymnasts hit 23 of its 24 routines on the day.
 
Kaylee Cole, Ashley Tai and Aleeza Yu tied for third on vault with scores of 9.850. All three gymnasts tied their season bests in the events.
 
Tai also posted a third-place result on beam with a season-high 9.900.
 
Rachel Daum scored a career-best 39.300 in the all-around to finish first and earned a 9.850 on floor to tie for fourth.

Highlights from Stanford's season-best performance at the Pac-12 Championships.

Stanford got off to a strong start on bars with back-to-back scores of 9.825 by Nicolette McNair and Yu. The Cardinal ran into trouble when its third gymnast fell but Daum helped get Stanford back on track with a clean performance to earn a 9.775.
 
Maxwell (9.700) and Price (9.825) hit their routines to preserve a quality start and help the Cardinal finish with a 48.950 in the event.
 
Stanford was led by Nicolette McNair (9.925) and Tai (9.900) on beam who both posted a career-highs. It was the second consecutive week Tai had scored a career-best after earning a 9.875 last week at the George Washington Quad Meet.
 
Taryn Fitzgerald got Stanford off to a strong start on beam with a 9.825. Daum (9.850) and Cole (9.750) ensured a strong finish.
 
Stanford finished with a season-best 49.250 in the event to move from third to first place at the midway point of the competition.
 
The Cardinal continued its momentum on floor with all six gymnasts scoring 9.750 or higher, including four scores of 9.800 and above. Price paced the Cardinal with a 9.925 and was followed by Daum with a 9.850.
 
Hailee Hoffman and Cole helped make sure the Cardinal got off to a strong start in the event with back-to-back scores of 9.800.
 
Stanford started well on vault. Daum led off with a 9.825 and Cole following with a 9.850. Tai and Yu kept the momentum going by posting scores of 9.850.
 
Price provided the exclamation point on the afternoon with a session-best 9.925 to seal the victory.
 
Stanford will learn its postseason fate Monday, March 20, during a selection show on NCAA.com.
