Seattle for Regionals

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford will compete at the NCAA Seattle Regional on Saturday, April 1, at 4 p.m. (PT), where it will pursue a bid to the NCAA Championships.
 
It is the 34th consecutive season the Cardinal has advanced to the NCAA regional competition.
 
Stanford has advanced to the NCAA Championships in nine of the past 10 seasons and 13 of the past 16. The Cardinal has won six regional titles and 49 individual championships in its 39-year history.
 
Joining Stanford in Seattle, Washington, will be top-seeded Oklahoma, and (in order of seeding) Kentucky, Washington, Utah State and BYU. The Cardinal and Oklahoma are tied for the most NCAA Championships appearances among the group with 16 apiece.
 
The top two teams in the regional competition will receive a berth to the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 14-15.
 
The top two all-around competitors and each event winner not on a qualifying team will also receive a bid to the national championships. The top 36 teams in the country based on their regional qualifying score, earned spots at the regional competition.
 
Stanford will face four top-25 opponents in its regional including No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 12 Kentucky, No. 13 Washington and No. 24 Utah State.
