STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman Nina Randolph has been named a Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Scholar of Distinction as announced by the organization Wednesday.
The honor is the first for the rookie, and one of the highest academic honors bestowed by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. The award is given to athletes that have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.90 or higher through the first semester of the 2016-17 academic year.
The announcement was made a week after Stanford collected 12 individual honors as part of the Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA National Academic Squad in addition to the Cardinal's honor as a National Academic Squad.
