Spring Soccer Schedule

STANFORD, Calif. – Highlighted by alumni games and a national championship ring ceremony on April 29, the Stanford men's soccer program announced its spring schedule on Monday as it prepares for the rigors of defending its back-to-back NCAA titles.
 
The high point of the Cardinal's five-date spring slate is on Saturday, April 29 when it hosts its alumni games and ring ceremony. Matches will feature alums against alums and alums against the current Stanford team before culminating with a dinner and ring ceremony at which the squad will receive its national title jewelry.

The Cardinal begins its spring under the lights at Steuber Rugby Stadium against PDL side SF City FC on Friday, April 7 at 7 p.m. Stanford heads down the road to take on Gunn's alma mater, CSU Bakersfield, in the San Joaquin Valley on Saturday, April 22 at 7 p.m. before returning home for the ring ceremony on April 29.
 
Stanford's home spring games are free and open to the public, but times are tentative so please check back here for any updates.
 
Following the alumni games and ring ceremony, Stanford will wrap up its spring schedule on the road, playing at UC Davis on Saturday, May 13 (4 p.m.) and Santa Clara on Friday, May 19 (7 p.m.).
 
In 2015 the Cardinal routed Clemson 4-0, the largest margin of victory in a College Cup final since 1975. This past December, Stanford became the first program in a dozen years to win consecutive NCAA titles when it beat Wake Forest in penalties following a scoreless 110 minutes. The Cardinal did not allow a goal throughout the entire tournament on the way to its second crown, becoming just the third team to win the championship while posting at 0.00 postseason goals against average.
