McMahon Honored By MPSF

STANFORD, Calif. – Freshman Daniella McMahon has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week, as announced by the conference.

McMahon, a native of Bardonia, N.Y. proved to be a lynchpin in the Cardinal's two wins against Saint Mary's College and Ohio State. The midfielder accumulated two goals, two assists, three ground balls, three caused turnovers and 10 draw controls through Cardinal wins over Saint Mary's (Feb. 21) and at Ohio State (Feb. 24). Seven of her draw controls came at Ohio State.

The honor is the career first for McMahon, who is tied for first on the team in draw controls with 11. 

No. 17 Stanford remains home next week as it sets to host William & Mary next Wednesday. Game time is set for 7 p.m. PT at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
