WEST POINT, N.Y. – Akash Modi and Robert Neff claimed NCAA titles in the all-around, parallel bars and high bar while three different Cardinal garnered nine All-American accolades as the No. 2 Cardinal took fourth at the NCAA Finals for the second time in program history and first time since 1989.

Modi finished his career claiming the Nissen-Emery Award as well as adding two more NCAA titles as he claimed his second all-around title (87.900) and second parallel bars title (15.300). Teammate Robert Neff grabbed his first NCAA title on high bar (14.850).

The Cardinal (22-6) added nine All-American accolades – Akash Modi: all-around, pommel horse, vault, parallel bars and high bar. Robert Neff added honors in the all-around, parallel bars and high bar while Andrew Misiolek claimed his first All-American honor on pommel horse.

The Cardinal started out hot on pommel horse posting its third-highest score of the year with a 69.850 with Akash Modi (14.850) and Andrew Misiolek (14.500) leading Stanford with All-American performances. 

Modi stepped up again on vault to add a 14.850 to tie for the second-highest score on the year for Stanford as the Cardinal headed into the halfway point in second place. 

The Nissen-Emery winner made another mark in the history book on parallel bars, taking his second NCAA title with a 15.300. Robert Neff joined the All-American club with a 14.700 as well with Stanford placing second in the event with a 71.300.

Neff shone taking the high bar title with a 14.850 while Modi added another All-American honor to his record nailing a 14.500. 

The Cardinal closes its 2017 season with a record of 22-6 with 12 consecutive years of making the NCAA Finals. Stanford now has five Nissen-Emery winners and 20 NCAA Championships by 35 individuals.
