STANFORD, Calif. – Kelsey Murray's seven points Sunday etched her name in Stanford lacrosse history as she became the all-time leader in points with 214, surpassing Megan Burker's previous record of 207. The Cardinal topped San Diego State 19-8 to close out the regular-season with a third place finish in the MPSF.

Stanford (11-5, 6-2 MPSF) opened up with Murray setting up Anna Salemo to set the pace before Murray scored three of her four goals on the day in the first half. The Cardinal outshot the Aztecs 23-7 in the period to jump to an 11-4 lead at the break.

The Cardinal kept the pace up out of the gate in the second half with a Stanford hat trick to open the period before SDSU (9-7, 2-5 MPSF) broke the seven-goal scoring spree. Allie DaCar added five saves on the day to keep the Aztecs quiet as Elizabeth Cusick joined Murray with four goals to finish the 19-8 rout.

The Cardinal will open the MPSF Tournament this week on Thursday where it will face Cal in the Quarterfinals. Game time is set for 12 p.m. PT in Los Angeles, Calif. at USC's McAlister Field.
