STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford travels to Tucson, Arizona, this week to compete in the second annual Pac-12 Conference Championships and Pac-12 Pairs Championships.
The Cardinal (12-8 overall, 3-5 Pac-12) enters the field as the fifth seed, and will play fourth-seeded Arizona State (15-14, 3-2) at Noon PT on Thursday. Last weekend, Stanford concluded its regular season in Tempe, Arizona, dropping a 5-0 decision against the Sun Devils.
Immediately following the completion of the team competition on Friday, the pairs tournament will begin at approximately 3 p.m. Stanford's top duo of Kathryn Plummer and Jenna Gray (10-10) are the No. 7 seed, while No. 2 pair Ivana Vanjak and Payton Chang are the No. 13 seed.
Plummer and Gray will open the pairs bracket against Olivia Hallaran and Olivia MacDonald of Arizona at 4 p.m. on Friday. Vanjak and Chang, who each competed in the Pac-12 Pairs Championship in 2016, will face Washington's top pair of Tia Scambray and Crissy Jones at 5 p.m.
Pac-12 Networks, along with all six regional networks, will broadcast the entirety of the team competition, starting at 9 a.m. PT on Thursday and continuing through the final match of the day, which is set to begin at 8 p.m. On Friday, Pac-12 Networks' coverage continues from 9 a.m. through the team championship match, set for 1 p.m.
