OJAI, Calif. - One week after claiming the regular-season title, No. 6 Stanford made it a clean sweep of conference crowns.

The Cardinal powered its way to a 4-1 victory over No. 16 California on Saturday afternoon, capturing the inaugural tournament title and earning the NCAA automatic bid as Pac-12 champions.

Stanford (21-2, 10-0 Pac-12) secured its 26th conference title in program history and repeated as league champions for the first time since a three-year stretch from 2010-12. The Cardinal accomplished the feat by defeating Utah, Oregon and California over consecutive days.

Saturday's Pac-12 final was a rematch from last weekend in Berkeley, where Stanford edged California 4-3. The Cardinal has won 13 of the last 18 meetings against the Golden Bears dating back to 2010.

The tone was established early, with Stanford picking up the doubles point for a 1-0 advantage.

California (17-5, 8-2 Pac-12) then evened the match at 1-1, receiving its only point when Karla Popovic defeated Melissa Lord 6-3, 6-3 on court two for the second straight week.

Taylor Davidson, who provided the clinching point in both of Stanford's first two tournament wins, delivered a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Denise Starr at the No. 3 position to make it 2-1.

Emily Arbuthnott's 6-1, 7-6 (1) triumph over Maya Jansen at the No. 5 spot extended Stanford's cushion to 3-1.

The clincher came from the top line when Caroline Doyle outlasted Maegan Manasse 4-6, 6-3, 6-3. Doyle, whose only other clincher this season came against Texas back on March 4, improved to 10-3 in her career against Cal opponents.

Stanford will be making its 36th consecutive postseason appearance when first round competition gets underway at campus sites in two weeks. The Cardinal will likely host the opening weekend at Taube Family Tennis Stadium on May 12-14.
