STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford was well-represented at the two most recent U.S. Women's U-23 National Team camps with five players being selected to participate.
Alana Cook, Tierna Davidson, Jordan DiBiasi, Tegan McGrady and Michelle Xiao represented the Cardinal at the first training camp held in Portland, Oregon, from March 23-April 1.
Cook and McGrady are also participating in the second training camp held in Orlando, Florida, from April 2-8.
Along with participating in the training camps, the group competed against three National Women's Soccer League teams during the Portland camp, including the Houston Dash, Portland Thorns and Chicago Red Stars.
Xiao scored her first career goal with the U-23 team, slotting home a rebound on a saved penalty kick by one of her teammates against the Thorns. Her goal erased a 1-0 deficit and helped the U-23's earn an eventual 2-1 comeback victory.
Cook and McGrady will train in Orlando and compete in a pair of matches against the University of Central Florida (April 5) and the Orlando Pride (April 7).
