REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – Stanford completed a sweep of the spring Pacific Coast Collegiate Sailing Conference Championships this past weekend with wins at the PCCSC Coed Championship and PCCSC Team Race Championships at the Stanford Boathouse.

The Cardinal, which recently captured the PCCSC Women's Championship for the 13th successive season, competed the trifecta of conference championships for the eighth season in a row with two more wins this past weekend. In his nine years in charge of the program, John Vandemoer has won 26 of 27 possible PCCSC spring championships, with the only non-win coming in his first season on The Farm.

In the coed competition, Stanford won the opening race in both divisions and never looked back, finishing with 66 points, comfortably ahead of UC Santa Barbara (81) and Hawaii (91). Junior All-American Will La Dow, senior Reinier Eenkama van Dijk and sophomore William Marshall skippered Stanford in the A-division, finishing with a mere 28 points in 15 races. Senior All-American J.P. Cannistraro and sophomore Cassie Obel served as crews in the A-division.

In the B-division, freshman Jacob Rosenberg skippered the Cardinal for the entire competition, winning the fleet with 38 points, including wins in four of the final seven races. Juniors Kennedy Placek, Haley Fox and Elena VandenBerg served as Stanford's crews in the B-fleet.

Stanford also claimed the PCCSC Team Race Championship for the 10th consecutive season, finishing with a 7-1 overall record ahead of Hawaii (6-2) and UC Santa Barabara (5-3). The trio of Eenkema van Dijk, La Dow and Rosenberg skippered Stanford's three boats, with freshman Taylor Kirkpatrick, sophomore All-American Kathryn Booker and Placek serving as crews.

Stanford has earned spots in all three Intercollegiate Sailing Association National Championships – the Sperry Women's Championship, the LaserPerformance Team Race Championship and the Gill Coed Championship. All three regattas are to be held May 22 – June 2 in Charleston, South Carolina, and live results for all three ICSA National Championships will be available at GoStanford.com.
