Trio Honored by CRCA

STANFORD, Calif. – The Stanford trio of seniors Ruth Narode and Filippa Karrfelt and sophomore Stephanie Grauer were named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division I All-Region team.

Grauer and Narode were recognized on the 10-member CRCA All-Region First Team, while Karrfelt was honored on the six-member second team.

All three rowed in the Cardinal varsity eight that finished second in the NCAA Championships on Lake Mercer in New Jersey in May. Karrfelt stroked the varsity eight, while Grauer rowed in the six-seat and Narode rowed in the five-seat for the Cardinal. Stanford finished sixth as a team at the NCAA Championships, recording the Cardinal's fourth consecutive top-six team finish.

Narode and Grauer were also recognized on the All-Pac-12 rowing team. Narode was recognized as the Pac-12 Women's Rowing Athlete of the Year.

The CRCA recognizes the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each of the five regions, organized into first and second-team selections. Nominated student-athletes are evaluated on the strength of their team's regional finish, coaches recommendations and 2,000-meter erg score. Nominees must be eligible student-athletes who have competed in their teams' varsity boat in 75 percent of races this season.

These athletes will be eligible for All-America awards selection following the NCAA Rowing Championships.
