Stephen Piscotty

OF • St. Louis Cardinals • Third Season • Statistics 

Piscotty signed a six-year contract extension just one day after starting on Opening Day for the Cardinals. In his first full season as a starter in 2016, Piscotty hit .273 with 22 home runs, 85 RBI and seven steals in 153 games for St. Louis. A year prior, the 2012 first round draft pick was called up mid-season and was a postseason hero for the Cardinals.


Jed Lowrie

3B • Oakland Athletics • 10th Season • Statistics

A first round pick in 2005, Lowrie made his MLB debut in 2008 with the Red Sox. He spent four seasons in Boston, two in Houston and is in his third year and second stint with the Athletics. His 2016 season was cut short due to injury, but Lowrie is expected to be the everyday third baseman for the Athletics. In his first nine seasons, Lowrie has hit .258 with 68 home runs and 343 RBI. In 2013, he ranked second in the American League with 45 doubles. 


Jason Castro

C • Minnesota Twins • Seventh Season • Statistics

Following six seasons with the Houston Astros, Jason Castro made the move to Minnesota this season and was the Opening Day starting catcher for the Twins. Castro was the 10th overall selection in the 2008 draft and has been a standout defensive catcher throughout his career.

Drew Storen

RHP • Cincinnati Reds • Eighth Season • Statistics

Drew Storen signed with the Cincinnati Reds in the offseason. The 10th overall selection in the 2009 draft, Storen pitched his first six seasons with the Washington Nationals and spent the 2016 season between Toronto and Seattle. Storen entered the 2017 season with 98 career saves -- the most by any Stanford pitcher in MLB history -- and is now one away from 100.

Austin Slater

OF • San Francisco Giants • First Season • Statistics 

Slater was called up to the Major Leagues on June 2. Originally selected by the Giants in the eighth round of the 2014 draft, Slater is hitting .309 with a slugging percentage of .457 and OPS of .820 in his first month in the big leagues.
