STANFORD, Calif. - For the 11th consecutive season, Taube Family Tennis Stadium will serve as the host site for the ITA Northwest Regional Championships when play gets underway Thursday.

Representing Stanford in singles and doubles competition are sophomore Emily Arbuthnott, freshman Michaela Gordon, sophomore Emma Higuchi, freshman Taylor Lallas, junior Caroline Lampl, junior Melissa Lord, freshman Avanika Narayan, junior Naomie Rosenberg, freshman Janice Shin, senior Paulette Wolak, junior Elizabeth Yao and junior Kimberly Yee.

In addition to Stanford, the ITA's Northwest Region schools are comprised of the following: California, Cal Poly, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon, Pacific, Portland, Portland State, Sacramento State, Saint Mary's, San Francisco, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle, UC Davis, Washington and Washington State.

Stanford recorded runner-up finishes in both singles and doubles at last year's event, representing the first time the Cardinal had failed to produce either a singles or doubles champion since 2008.

Highuchi fell to California's Karla Popovic 6-2, 6-2 in the singles final, ending her bid to become the seventh consecutive Stanford player to claim the ITA Northwest Regional crown. Previous Cardinal singles champions included Taylor Davidson (2015), Carol Zhao (2014), Kristie Ahn (2013, 2010), Krista Hardebeck (2012) and Nicole Gibbs (2011).

In the 2016 doubles final, Lampl and Yee dropped a hard-fought 6-2, 6-7 (5), 10-8 decision to California's Popovic and Olivia Hauger.
