STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford outside hitter Kathryn Plummer has been selected the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, announced today by the conference.
Plummer, a sophomore from Aliso Viejo, California, averaged 5.43 kills per set on 4.64 hitting in wins at Arizona State and Arizona last week. She helped lead the team to its 14th consecutive victory and remain atop the Pac-12 standings at 12-0.
Plummer notched a match-high 23 kills on .419 hitting to go with seven digs and an ace at Arizona State. She followed up with a match-best 15 kills with just one error to hit .538, and was just one dig shy of a double-double against Arizona.
For the season, Plummer leads the Pac-12 and is 10th nationally with 4.66 kills per set. She is also the conference leader and sixth in the nation with 5.38 points per set.
Plummer is the second Cardinal player to be recognized by the conference this season, joining Morgan Hentz (Oct. 23). It is the second weekly recognition of Plummer's career as she was also the Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 21, 2016. Stanford now has 102 player of the week honors all-time.
The Cardinal plays host to Oregon State on Friday and Oregon on Sunday. Stanford will honor Hall of Fame head coach John Dunning throughout Sunday's match at Maples Pavilion.
