STANFORD, Calif. - Junior running back and human biology major Bryce Love was named one of three finalists the Maxwell Award and Doak Walker Award on Monday.
Finalists for the Maxwell Award, given annually to the collegiate player of the year, include Penn State's Saquon Barkley and Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield. The Doak Walker Award finalists include Love, Barkley and Wisconsin's Jonathan Taylor.
Love leads all Power 5 conference running backs in rushing yards, yards per game, yards per carry, rushing touchdowns, 100-yard rushing games and rushes of 20, 30, 40 and 50-plus yards -- Love's 11 rushes of 50 or more yards is an FBS record. The Wake Forest, North Carolina, also leads the FBS with a touchdown in 12 straight games and a rushing score in 11 consecutive contests.

The award winners will be announced on ESPN at the Home Depot College Football Awards in downtown Atlanta on Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. PT.
