Unanimous Choice

STANFORD, Calif. - Junior human biology major Bryce Love was named first team All-America by the American Football Coaches Association on Wednesday, cementing his status as a unanimous All-American.

Love is Stanford's 10th unanimous All-American and fifth under head coach David Shaw. He is the first Cardinal unanimous All-America choice since Joshua Garnett (2015). David Yankey (2013), Zach Ertz (2012) and David DeCastro (2011) also earned the status under Shaw.

Love, the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, Doak Walker Award winner and Heisman Trophy finalist, paced Power 5 running backs in rushing yards, rushing yards/game, yards/carry and runs of 20, 30, 40 and 50 yards. His 12 runs of 50 or more yards this year is an FBS record, and his 11 100-yard rushing performances led the nation and tied a school record.

The Cardinal (9-4) won the Pac-12 North Division and will face TCU (10-3) in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28 in San Antonio, Texas. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. (PT), and ESPN will broadcast the game.
