CHICAGO, Ill. – A preview of the 2018 NCAA Championships site ended with No. 2 Stanford claiming another tri-meet sweep Sunday with a 405.750 total as the Cardinal claimed five of six team event titles with Ryan Sheppard returning to action to win the rings and all-around titles

Stanford (4-0) opened on still rings where Sheppard opened with a dominant 13.650 to claim his second career ring event title. Robert Neff, Grant Breckenridge, Andrew Bitner and Thomas Lee also stepped up to claim the third though 3-6 scores en route to a Cardinal team win with a 66.750.

Up next on floor, Stanford claimed its second team event title with rookie Andrew Bitner claiming second-place (14.000) and Bailey Perez right behind him with a 13.950. Robert Neff added a 13.750 to lead the Cardinal to the team win.

Pommel horse was next with Sheppard and Joey Ringer taking third and fourth in the event, but Iowa was able to dominate the event with a 66.000 overall to take the team title.

Stanford controlled the meet in every other event as it moved to high bar where the Cardinal claimed the top-four scores as Robert Neff (14.350) claimed the event title followed by Bailey Perez, Sheppard and Jacob Barrus for a 67.850.

Bryan Perla and Robert Neff added another event title on vault with both landing a 14.350 as Perez, Gareth Weiss and Sheppard rounded out the top five with Stanford dominating the event with a 71.200 score.

The Cardinal closed out on parallel bars with freshman Blake Sun tying Iowa's Rogelio Vasquez of Iowa for the event title with a 13.900 as teammates Sheppard, Barrus, Breckenridge, Thomas Lee and Neff took the 3-7 finishes to dominate the event.

Next up, Stanford opens up its home slate hosting the Stanford Open with the NCAA event being held Saturday, January 27 at 7 p.m. in Burnham Pavilion.
