No. 1 Stanford 22 – No. 22 Fresno State 5

Stanford scored six straight to start and put up 22 on the first-year program from Fresno State. Four different players had hat tricks and the Cardinal's offensive output was its highest in a game since it hung 23 on San Jose State on April 4, 2015.

Up 6-0 after one on goals from five different players (Constandse, M. Wiley, K. Klass, Cleary, Berggren), Stanford surrendered three to the Bulldogs in the second. The Cardinal was able to maintain a sizeable lead at the break, 10-3, thanks to a pair of scores from Aria Fischer and one each from Cassidy Wiley and Sarah Klass.

The third-quarter was all Cardinal as Stanford rattled the cage eight times and held Fresno State scoreless. Sarah Klass, Makenzie Fischer and Mackenzie Wiley each scored twice in the period while Kayle Constandse and Jordan Raney added the final two to make it 18-3 after three.

Stanford outscored Fresno State 4-2 in the final quarter on three goals from Hannah Shabb and another from Constandse.

No. 1 Stanford 15 – No. 16 San Jose State 4

Freshman Aria Fischer scored four times to push Stanford to its fourth consecutive double-digit victory to begin the season. She scored twice in the first, once in the third and once in the fourth as part of a contingent of nine Cardinal that found the back of the cage in the victory.

Hannah Shabb and Madison Berggren got Stanford going to start before Fischer's two goals closed the first quarter and put Stanford on top 4-1. It was another 4-1 spurt in the second period that extended the lead with goals from Cardinal caps No. 10-13 in Kat Klass, Makenzie Fischer, Shannon Cleary and Berggren.

Berggren scored to begin the third before the Spartans answered late in the quarter to make it 9-3. Stanford would score twice in the next minute with goals from Aria Fischer and Jordan Raney before an exclusion allowed San Jose State a 6-on-5 conversion just as the period ended.

The final frame was all Stanford with Kayla Constandse, Cassidy Wiley, Aria Fischer and Makenzie Fischer finding the back of the cage to push the Cardinal to its final 11-goal margin.
