HONOLULU, HI – Stanford completed the Rainbow Wahine Classic on Sunday, dropping a pair of matches to No. 3 UCLA, 3-2, and No. 5 Hawai'i, 3-2.

"I'm excited about how the team maximized their opportunity on Oahu," said head coach Andrew Fuller. "We improved steadily in each match and supported each other fiercely on the court."

After dropping the first set, 21-17, the No. 2 pairing of Amelia Smith and Morgan Hentz needed to win the second set to keep the Cardinal's chances at a win alive. They would lose the set, 21-16, giving UCLA the 3-2 win on the match.

"The crowds at UH gave each match tons of energy and I loved seeing our players thrive in that environment," added Fuller.
