Thirteen All-Americans

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford women earned 10 first-team All-America honors, tying the Cardinal for the most in NCAA Division I indoor track and field with Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, and Oregon.

Overall, 13 Stanford men and women combined for 17 All-America honors, including 15 first-team, through their performances at the NCAA Championships Friday and Saturday in College Station, Texas. Stanford placed eighth in the women's competition and the men were 21st.

Those in the top eight are first-team selections, and places 9-16 are second team. Outdoors, those from 17-24 (except relays) are honorable mention. In cross country, All-America goes to the top 40, with no distinction.

Julian Body, a sophomore academically, and freshman Brandon McGorty became Stanford's newest All-Americans. And Elise Cranny, a senior, earned her 10th All-America honor. She joined Lauren Fleshman (15), Erica McLain (14), Arianna Lambie (13), Sally Glynn (11), Kathy Kroeger (11), and Alicia Craig (10) among women who have earned 10 or more at Stanford.

The Stanford men's and women's cross country, and indoor and outdoor track and field teams have combined for 897 All-America honors by 267 individuals. The men have 452 All-America honors by 152, and the women have 445 by 115.
