After The Rain

STANFORD, Calif. – After a long wait while dodging rain drops for most of the day, No. 25 Stanford and Utah found a pocket of sunlight in the late afternoon and the Cardinal made quick work of the Utes.

Starting with singles, Stanford (7-3, 3-0 Pac-12) picked up wins at the Nos. 1, 2 and 4 spots to capture the 4-0 victory.
 
Emma Higuchi dropped just three games in her victory at the No. 5 spot, while Janice Shin surrendered just one game in her win at No. 4 to put Stanford ahead 2-0.
 
Caroline Lampl cruised to a 6-0, 6-4 victory to put Stanford on the brink of clinching at 3-0.
 
Michaela Gordon breezed to a 6-3, 6-1 win at the top spot to seal the Cardinal's third consecutive victory.
 
Stanford continues its nine-match homestand on Saturday with a noon match against Colorado at Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
