TEMPE, Ariz. - No. 28 Stanford cruised to its sixth straight victory on Friday afternoon, blanking No. 41 Arizona State 4-0 to remain unbeaten in conference play.

Stanford (10-3, 4-0 Pac-12) collected its third win over a ranked opponent while continuing its recent hot stretch, which has included four shutouts over the last five matches.

The Cardinal led 1-0 after claiming the doubles point, winning at the lower two spots of the lineup.

Michaela Gordon and Emma Higuchi followed with convincing victories at the Nos. 1 and 6 spots, respectively, putting Stanford on the brink of clinching at 3-0.

Emily Arbuthnott made it official following a 6-2, 6-4 triumph on court four.

Otherwise, Arizona State (10-5, 2-2 Pac-12) was in a great position to extend the match, having already taken the first sets on the remaining three courts.
