STANFORD, Calif. – Drew Taylor and Brennan Wertz were selected to the All-Pac-12 team for men's rowing, as announced by the conference Thursday afternoon.
This is the second all-conference honor for Brennan Wertz, who was named the Pac-12 Men's Rowing Newcomer of the Year in 2017.
Wertz, a junior from Mill Valley, California, rowed every race in the Cardinal's varsity eight that was ranked in the top-15 all season long and placed third in the Pac-12 Rowing Championships in May.
Drew Taylor, a sophomore from Dallas, Texas, picks up his first all-conference honor as a member of the Stanford program. Taylor is also a part of the Cardinal's varsity eight boat, which recorded wins over Oregon State, Wisconsin, Hobart and Georgetown, among others, this season.
Stanford men's rowing earned a bid to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) Championships earlier this month as an automatic qualifier. The national championship regatta will take place June 1-3 in West Windsor, New Jersey.
