All-Region Honors

STANFORD, Calif. – Junior Brandon Wu and senior Jeffrey Swegle have been named to the Division I PING All-Region Team by the Golf Coaches Association of America, it was announced this week.

Players from six regions across the country were picked to the 2018 squad.
 
Wu, an All-Pac-12 first team choice, competed in a Stanford-high 10 regular season tournaments and averaged 70.50. The Danville, California product collected three top 10's and six top 20s, sharing runner-up honors at the Nike Golf Collegiate Invite.
 
Wu sparked the Cardinal at the NCAA Stockton Regional, shooting rounds of 67-67-68 to conclude at 14-under 202, his lowest total as a Cardinal golfer. He captured solo-second to match his best career finish on The Farm.
 
Swegle, an All-Pac-12 second team selection, averaged 70.29 during the regular season and recorded top 10 finishes in two of the last three events. He posted a career-best second-place showing at The Goodwin, firing an 8-under-par 63 in the first round, tying the fourth-lowest score in program history.
 
A native of West Des Moines, Iowa, Swegle also placed eighth at the Pac-12 Championships.
