STANFORD, Calif. - Sophomore Kelsey Bing and freshman Corinne Zanolli have been named to the United States U-21 squad that will compete against Argentina later this week in Tucuman, Argentina.
Bing and Zanolli are part of the 24-player squad that will square off against host Argentina in a three-game series, with matches schedules for June 14, 16 and 17.
Bing was named the America East Goalkeeper of the Year, ranking sixth nationally with a .794 save percentage while posting a GAA of 1.49 and recorded two shutouts. An NFHCA West Region Second Team selection, Bing was also an All-America East selection and America East All-Championship Team pick. Equally impressive in the classroom, Bing was tabbed an NFHCA National Academic Squad Scholar of Distinction recipient and qualified for the America East All-Academic Team.
An NFHCA West Region First Team selection, Zanolli was recognized as the America East Rookie of the Year in a promising debut season. Also selected as an All-America East selection and America East All-Championship Team pick, Zanolli led Cardinal in points (39), goals (14) and shots (82) while ranking second in assists (11). She recorded three multi-goal games while starting 20 of the team's 21 contests. Zanolli also earned NFHCA National Academic Squad recognition.
