STANFORD, Calif. – Junior left-handed pitcher Kris Bubic was named third-team All-America by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of Association on Wednesday.
A left-handed pitcher from San Jose, California, Bubic was named All-Pac-12 and an ABCA All-West Region after posting an 8-1 record and 2.62 earned-run average in 86.0 innings. He led the team with 101 strikeouts, holding opposing hitters to a .199 average.
A member of the Golden Spikes midseason watch list, Bubic was picked 40th overall in the Competitive Balance Round-A by the Kansas City Royals in the recent Major League Baseball Draft. Teammate Jack Little was also named All-America by the NCBWA, making the first team.
