STANFORD, Calif. – Thirteen of defending national champion Stanford women's soccer's regular-season contests will air on Pac-12 Networks in 2018, as announced Wednesday.

Nine of Stanford's 2018 opponents appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 2017, including 22-time national champion North Carolina, which visits The Farm on Sept. 9. Nine of 11 Pac-12 games will air on Pac-12 Networks, with an additional four nonconference games set to be televised.

Stanford opens the season on the road against UC Davis on Aug. 17 at 4 p.m. PT before its home opener against San Francisco on Aug. 24th at 8 p.m.

The Cardinal then travels to play BYU in Provo, Utah, on Aug. 30 and Minnesota on Sept. 2 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, followed by a seven-game home stand starting Sept. 7 against Notre Dame.

The Cardinal plays host to North Carolina on Sept 9, Cal Poly on Sept. 13 and Santa Clara on Sept. 16 to wrap up nonconference play.

Stanford opens Pac-12 conference action by hosting UCLA on Sept. 27 and USC on Sept. 30, then travels to play Oregon in Eugene, Oregon, on Oct. 4, Oregon State in Corvallis, Oregon, on Oct. 7 and Arizona State in Tempe, Arizona, on Oct. 13.

Stanford finishes its regular-season home schedule when it welcomes Utah and Colorado to The Farm on Oct. 18 and Oct. 21.

The Cardinal finishes the regular season with three road games at Washington on Oct. 25, Washington State on Oct. 28 and California on Nov. 2.

Stanford captured its second national championship in 2017 after a 3-2 win against UCLA. Stanford set program with 91 goals, 30 more than any other team in the country, while limiting opponents to nine and outscoring teams 61-1 at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium. The Cardinal finished the season on a 1,988:59 minute streak of not allowing a goal from open play, while six players registered at least 22 points.

Three Cardinal were named semifinalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, including the winner Andi Sullivan, who was selected No. 1 overall in the 2018 NWSL Draft. Freshman Catarina Macario led the nation in points and assists, and Tierna Davidson was a first-team All-American while establishing herself with the senior United States Women's National Team.

Paul Ratcliffe was named Knowles Family Director of Women's Soccer on Feb. 2 after serving 15 seasons as head coach. Ratcliffe's record at Stanford stands at 275-49-27, earning Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors eight times – no other coach has won the award more than twice. Previous assistant Hideki Nakada was also promoted to associate head coach on Feb. 23.
