BOSTON – 10 student-athletes were named to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic team Thursday, which recognizes the top scholars among member programs.
Stanford's 10 honorees were the second-most among lightweight programs. M.I.T. had 12 to lead IRA crews. As a team, the Cardinal lightweight rowing program boasted a 3.57 grade point average this season.
To be eligible for recognition a student-athlete must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.35 or higher, completed one full year at their institution (freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible), and also competed at the 2018 IRA National Championship Regatta in West Windsor, New Jersey.
