CGA Academic Recognition

STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford was well represented among the 2018 Collegiate Gymnastics Association (CGA) academic awards, earning team and individual honors.

The Cardinal placed fourth nationally with a 3.35 team GPA, trailing only William & Mary (3.53), Nebraska (3.41) and Penn State (3.36). Minnesota rounded out the top five at 3.30.

The CGA also honored 12 Cardinal student-athletes with All-American Scholar-Athlete awards, with four of those receiving first-team accolades with a GPA of 3.50 or higher.

In April, Stanford was recognized with nine MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athletes. The criteria for an MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete is as follows: maintain a 3.00 or better cumulative GPA, must be at least a sophomore academically and must have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions.
