BERKELEY, Calif. – Behind Kathryn Plummer and Audriana Fitzmorris, No. 2 Stanford women's volleyball swept California, Wednesday, in the Pac-12 opener for both teams at Haas Pavilion.
Stanford (9-1, 1-0 Pac-12) has now won 13 straight matches against Cal (8-4, 0-1 Pac-12). The Cardinal hit .382 as a team, while holding the Bears to a .151 clip.
Plummer led all players with 14 kills on .303 hitting and eight digs. Fitzmorris hit .500 with 10 kills on 18 swings with just one error.
Junior setter Jenna Gray recorded 38 assists, while junior libero Morgan Hentz had a match-best 13 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Kate Formico totaled six digs.
Sophomore Meghan McClure added eight kills and 11 digs, while senior middle blocker Courtney Bowen finished with a career-high seven kills on 14 errorless swings and five blocks. Freshman Holly Campbell chipped in with five kills on .556 hitting and two blocks.

Cal was led by Mima Mirkovic's 11 kills and eight digs, while Bailee Huizenga and Carmen Annevelink each had six kills.
Stanford returns to The Farm to begin a three-match home stand on Sunday against Arizona. The Cardinal and Wildcats will meet at noon on Pac-12 Networks.
