Hiatt Honored by Pac-12

STANFORD, Calif. – Junior Sam Hiatt was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week after scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 overtime victory at Minnesota on Sunday.

Hiatt, who hails from Newcastle, Washington, scored in the 94th minute to give No. 1 Stanford its program-record 26th win in a row, a streak that dates to Aug. 25, 2017. It was Hiatt's second career goal for Stanford and first of the season. She also helped the Cardinal surrender only one goal last week, which included wins at BYU (Aug. 30) and Minnesota (Sept. 2).

The Cardinal (4-0-0) returns to Laird Q. Cagan Stadium on Friday when it hosts Notre Dame at 6 p.m. PT. Stanford's next seven matches will be at home, including Sunday's matchup against No. 2 North Carolina at 2:30 p.m.
