CORVALLIS, Ore. – Senior middle blocker Courtney Bowen set career-highs in kills and blocks to help No. 2 Stanford stave off Oregon State, 24-26, 25-10, 25-18, 25-23, Friday, at Gill Coliseum.

Bowen, who had appeared in 13 of the team's 57 sets this season entering Friday's match, finished with a career-best 14 kills on .500 hitting and a career-high nine blocks. As a team, the Cardinal (17-1, 9-0 Pac-12) posted a season-best 21.0 blocks.
 
Junior outside hitter Kathryn Plummer led all players with 19 kills and finished with 11 digs for her fifth double-double of the year. She also tallied three blocks and two aces, including one on match-point to seal the victory.
 
As a team, Stanford hit .247 and held Oregon State (10-11, 0-9 Pac-12) to a .114 clip. The Beavers held a 72-67 advantage in digs. The Cardinal is now 67-0 all-time against Oregon State.

Senior middle blocker Tami Alade finished with a career-high 12 blocks, tying for the 10th-most in a single match in program history. It was the most by a Cardinal player since 2013 when Carly Wopat had 12 at Oregon.
Junior setter Jenna Gray dished out 46 assists to go with seven digs and a season-high six blocks. Junior libero Morgan Hentz, who has won five of the past six Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week awards, collected 20 digs for the sixth time this season.
 
After falling behind 1-0, Stanford turned up its offense in the second set, hitting a match-best .481 (14-1-27). The Cardinal also limited itself to just one attack error in the third set when it hit .308.
 


Junior opposite Audriana Fitzmorris finished with 10 kills and a season-high eight blocks, while sophomore outside hitter Meghan McClure was one kill shy of a double-double with nine and 14 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Kate Formico racked up a season-high 13 digs.
 
Oregon State was led by junior outside hitter Amy Underdown, who finished with 15 kills and 10 digs. Sophomore Maddie Goings added 12 kills and eight digs for the Beavers, while sophomore libero Grace Massey had a match-high 21 digs.
 
Stanford wraps up the weekend on Sunday at No. 16 Oregon. First serve is slated for 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
