Senior CLASS Finalist

STANFORD, Calif. - Senior human biology major Bryce Love was named one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award on Wednesday.

An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I FBS senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

The finalists were chosen by a selection committee from the list of 30 candidates announced earlier in the season. Nationwide fan voting begins immediately to help select the winner, and fans are encouraged to vote at SeniorCLASSaward.com through December 5. Fan votes will be combined with media and Division I head coaches' votes to determine the winner. The Senior CLASS Award winner will be announced during the football bowl season in early January.

A team captain and aspiring pediatrician, Love won the Doak Walker Award, Lombardi Award and Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year honors last season. The running back set the school record with 2,118 rushing yards in 2017 and recently surpassed 4,000 career all-purpose yards. A unanimous All-American and Pac-12 All-Academic honoree, Love is set to graduate in December, two quarters early.

Love and the Cardinal welcome No. 14 Washington State to The Farm on Reunion Homecoming weekend at Stanford. Kickoff on Saturday is slated for 4 p.m., on the Pac-12 Network.
