Geller, Rotsaert Set for ITAs

TULSA, Okla. – Sophomore Axel Geller and freshman Alexandre Rotsaert will begin action in the 64-man main draw on Thursday at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships. The week-long event, held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on the University of Tulsa campus, began with qualifying rounds this past Monday and will conclude with the championship match this coming Monday, Oct. 8.

Geller, ranked No. 48 in the ITA preseason poll, will face Texas' Christian Sigsgaard at 7 a.m. PT. He posted an 18-7 overall record as a freshman for the Cardinal last season, finishing No. 86 in the final 2018 ITA rankings.
Rotsaert earned a berth in the main draw with three victories in the qualifying draw this week. He defeated Arkansas' Adam Sanjurjo (6-4, 6-4) on Monday, and Texas' Leo Telles (6-1, 7-5) and Alabama's Edson Ortiz (3-6, 6-1, 7-5) on Tuesday. The freshman will face Wake Forest's Menelaos Efstathiou in the main draw on Thursday at 10 a.m. PT.
Senior Sameer Kumar fell to Efstathiou (7-6(2), 5-7, 6-3) in the qualifying draw, before posting a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Eastern Washington's Mikayel Khachatryan in the consolation.  
First-round action will be played Thursday, followed by second-round play Friday. The Round of 16 and quarterfinals will be contested on Saturday, with semifinal action Sunday and the championship match Monday.
