STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford middle blocker Holly Campbell has been selected the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week, the conference announced today.
Campbell averaged 2.29 blocks per set to go with 1.57 kills and 2.71 points per set in wins over then-No. 17 Oregon and Oregon State. The Austin, Texas, native hit .467 with eight kills and matched her career-high with eight blocks against the Ducks. She followed up with another eight blocks in a sweep over the Beavers, helping the Cardinal secure its 18th Pac-12 title outright.
It is the second career weekly honor for Campbell, who also won the award on Oct. 1. Stanford now has 23 freshman of the week honors all-time.
No. 2 Stanford hits the road this week, traveling to No. 18 Washington State on Friday and No. 20 Washington on Sunday.
