PULLMAN, Wash. – Junior Kathryn Plummer powered No. 2 Stanford women's volleyball down the stretch to a 3-1 win at No. 18 Washington State, Friday, in Bohler Gym.
Plummer finished with a match-high 24 kills, one shy of her season-high, six digs and five blocks. It was her seventh 20-plus kill performance of the season for the outside hitter.
Stanford (25-1, 17-0 Pac-12) won its 23rd consecutive match and remains undefeated in Pac-12 play. The Cardinal won the conference outright last week, its 18th title overall.
Setter Jenna Gray guided the offense to a .290 attack percentage with 59 assists. The junior also turned in two kills, three aces, four digs and four blocks. Junior Morgan Hentz collected 14 digs, marking her 37th straight match dating back to last season in double figures.

The Cardinal, which leads the nation in blocks per set, posted 16.0 in the match. Stanford cruised to a 2-0 lead over Washington State, hitting over .450 in the first two sets.
Washington State avoided the sweep with a 25-22 win in the third set. After trailing by as many as eight, the Cardinal rallied back to cut the lead to one at 22-21. The Cougars held their ground and finished off on a 3-1 run, holding the lead the entire set.
Stanford fell behind again early in the fourth, but leaned on Plummer late, who registered five kills in Stanford's final six points.
Junior opposite Audriana Fitzmorris hit .320 and had 11 kills and five blocks. Senior Tami Alade, who missed the Cardinal's last two matches, returned and had eight kills on .538 hitting and a match-high 11 blocks.

Freshman middle blocker Holly Campell added nine kills and four blocks, while sophomore Meghan McClure finished with eight kills and matched her season-high with 14 digs. Sophomore defensive specialist Kate Formico had 12 digs, one shy of her season-high.
Washington State senior Taylor Mims had 14 kills and eight digs to lead the Cougars. Middle Jocelyn Urias recorded nine kills, while Ella Lajos had eight kills and five blocks off the bench.
