Academic Honors

STANFORD, Calif. – Led by first team selections Meghan McClure and Sidney Wilson, eight Cardinal were recognized today when Commissioner Larry Scott announced the annual Pac-12 Women's Volleyball All-Academic teams.

Picking up her second career honor is senior Tami Alade, who was named to the second team. The middle blocker carries a 3.56 GPA in human biology and was named a top 10 finalist for the Senior CLASS Award this year.

Earning Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention honors for Stanford were juniors Audriana Fitzmorris, Jenna Gray, Morgan Hentz and Kathryn Plummer, and sophomore Kate Formico. Fitzmorris, Gray, Hentz and Plummer are all repeat selections.
 
To be eligible for the selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor. Freshman and transfer students in their first season with a team are not eligible.
 
No. 1 Stanford begins postseason play on Friday, Nov. 30 against Alabama State. The Cardinal and Hornets will meet at 7 p.m. in Maples Pavilion after Duke and Loyola Marymount square off at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are available online at gostanford.com/tickets or by calling 1-800-STANFORD.
